Ruth Ann Elliott

RUTH ANN ELLIOTT, 85, of Eaton, OH died Saturday, October 30, 2010 at Vancrest Health Care Center in Eaton. Born on May 16, 1925 in Richmond, IN, she was the daughter of the late William G. & Lorena (Wilson) Eales. She retired from Belden Wire & Cable Corporation in Richmond, IN after 31 years and was a member of St. Mary Catholic Church in Richmond. Ruth was an avid volunteer in the Richmond area, she was awarded volunteer of the year in 2000 with Oakridge Nursing Home where she dedicated most of her retired life helping others. Ruth and Clyde had a busy and full life, they have traveled to Germany and Hawaii and all over the 48 states. Her favorite hobby was Bingo with her sister Martha, she also bowled on the Belden league for years.

Preceded in death by husband of 62 years: Clyde W. Elliott in 2009; a infant daughter in 1948; Sisters: Catherine Bricker and Jeannette C. Horigan; Brothers: Carl, Paul, Raymond, William and Robert Eales.

Survived by Daughters & Sons-In-Law: Barbara & Ronald Pharr of Statesville, N.C. and Jane M. & Thomas Savage of Clio, MI; Sister: Martha Hopkins, Richmond, IN. Brother: Donald Eales, Colorado Springs, CO. Grandchildren: Bryan Falkner, Kim (Roger) Bates, Tony Falkner and Lori (Brian) Bishop; Great Grandchildren: Brittney Falkner, Ashley Rogers, Allyson Bishop and Nathan Bishop; Great Great Grandchild: Bryanna Ponce.

Family will receive friends on Tuesday, November 2, 2010 from 5:00 to 7:00 p.m. at the Barnes Funeral Home, 109 West Main Street, New Paris, OH. Funeral Mass will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Wednesday, November 3, 2010 at Barnes Funeral Home in New Paris, Ohio with Rev. Father Gerald Okeke officiating. Interment will be held in Spring Lawn Cemetery in New Paris.
