Russell W. Sauerland

Russell W. Sauerland, age 94, of Brookville, Ohio died Friday, December 11, 2015. Born on August 28, 1921 in Harrison, Ohio, son of the late Raymond C. & Isabelle (Bibee) Sauerland. Russell had worked for Bud Reid Garage in New Paris, OH and was a school bus driver for Jefferson High School & National Trail Schools prior to his retirement.

Preceded in death by wife, Ruth Mary (Smith) Sauerland; granddaughter, Annette Marie Albert; brother, Harold Sauerland; sisters-in-law, Evelyn Sauerland, Betty (Bill) Moody and Jean Jones; brother-in-law, Ernie Bischoff.

Survived by; daughter, Caroline Albert; grandchildren, Roberta Albert "Chris Austin", Kristina (Paul) Jurgens, Janene McNew and Jamie Albert; great grandchildren, Jalana Golson, Kati Jurgens, Karis Jurgens, Christopher McNew, Robert McNew and Lucas Albert; great great grandson, Chase McNew; brother, Richard A. Sauerland; sister, Evelyn (Jim) Booker; sister-in-law, Phyllis Bischoff.

Funeral Service will be held at 12:00 pm, Tuesday, December 15, 2015 at Barnes Funeral Home, 109 W. Main St., New Paris, OH with Ned Toms officiating. Interment will be held in Springlawn Cemetery in New Paris. Family will receive friends from 11:00 am to 12:00 pm on Tuesday prior to the funeral at the funeral home in New Paris.
