Ronald E. Davenport

Ronald E. Davenport age 61 of Eaton, Ohio died Monday, October 20, 2008 at Hospice of Dayton in Dayton, Ohio. Born on April 20, 1947 in Hamilton, Ohio he was the son of the late Emory B. & Dorothy (Stevenson) Davenport. Ron was a 1965 Camden High School graduate and served in the U.S. Army. He retired in 2006 from Parker Hannifin Co. in Eaton after 17 years of service. He had also worked at Square D in Oxford for over 14 years. He was a member of Eaton Church of the Brethren; Camden Masonic Lodge # 159; Eastern Star # 225 in Oxford, Ohio, Scottish Rite Valley of Dayton and Shrine Club.

Survived by Wife of 36 years: Carolyn S. (Rhoades) Davenport; Brother: Rick L. Davenport of Avon Lake, OH; Uncle & Aunt: Donald & Norma Stevenson of Eaton, OH; Several Nieces and Nephews.

Funeral service will be held 11:00 am, Friday, October 24, 2008 at Barnes Funeral Home, 220 East Main Street, Eaton, OH with Rev. Charles Rinehart, Rev. Lowell T. Spencer and Rev. Stan Van Ausdal officiating. Interment will be held in Mound Hill Union Cemetery in Eaton with full military honors provided by the Preble County Honor Guard. Family will receive friends on Thursday, October 23, 2008 from 4:00 to 7:00 pm at the funeral home. Masonic services will be held 5:30 pm Thursday.
