Robert W. Klingensmith

Robert Wayne Klingensmith, age 57, of Farmington, New York formerly of Fairborn, Ohio passed away unexpectedly on Wednesday November 23, 2011. Born on October 10, 1954 in Houston, Texas, Bob was a 1972 graduate of Fairborn Baker High School. He earned a degree from The Community College of the Air Force while in the Air Force. After serving honorably in the U.S. Air Force for 20 years he then went to work for Harris Corporation in Rochester, New York.

He is survived by June Ann (Drew) Klingensmith, his wife of 33 wonderful years; children: daughter: Robin Marie (James, USMC) Wynn of Havelock, North Carolina; son: James Robert Klingensmith of Fairborn, Ohio; parents: Nancy (Harry) Schurr of Fairborn, Ohio and Robert (Jo) Klingensmith of Meadville, Pennsylvania; siblings: Jeffrey (Donna) Klingensmith of Harrison, Ohio; Cheryl (Walter) Matuszewski of Fairborn, Ohio; step-siblings: Candi (Jeff) Sutton of Goshen, Kentucky, Tracy Schurr of Beavercreek, Ohio, John David (Dianne) Williams of Lexington, South Carolina; parents-in-law: Ralph (Norma) Drew of Trotwood, Ohio; sisters-in-law: Jean Drew of Trotwood, Ohio, Jan (Mike) Stimmel of Delaware, Ohio; brother-in-law: James (Shana) Drew of Englewood, Ohio; nieces and nephews: Nathan (Heather), Jennifer, Lori (Adam), Douglas (Victoria), Brent, Jared, Paige, Drew, Paige, Lisa (Kyle), Jennifer, Blake, Devin and James. He was preceded in death by step-brother J R Williams.

Funeral service will be 10:00 AM Thursday, December 1, 2011 at Barnes Funeral Home – 220 East Main Street – Eaton, Ohio with Rev. Lowell T. Spencer officiating. Interment will be in Mound Hill Cemetery in Eaton, OH with full military honors. Family will receive friends on Wednesday, November 30, 2011 from 6:00 to 8:00 PM at the funeral home.
