Robert E. Klinger

Robert E. “Bob” Klinger, age 66, of Lewisburg, OH died Tuesday, September 25, 2018 at his residence. Born on September 13, 1952 in West Manchester, OH, he was the son of the late Richard E. & Norma I. (Shiverdecker) Klinger. Bob retired after 30 plus years with the Preble County Engineers Office and had also worked with TVS School System, Wysong Gravel and Stone and Preble Council on Aging. He served as Chief and Asst. Chief with the West Manchester Fire Department and was also a member of the Eldorado and Lewisburg Fire Departments. Member of the AmVets Post 726 in Eldorado, OH. Preceded in death by his 1st Wife: Alice M. (Clark) Klinger in 1997; Brothers: Richard “Dickey” Eugene Klinger, Jr. and William A. Klinger. 

Survived by his Wife of 19 years: Wanda Ellen (Etherington) Klinger; Children: Kelly (Keith) Grau, Russell “Rusty” (Jessica) Klinger, Levi (Ashley) Northup and Kristi (Alex) Daum; Brother: Ronnie (Peggy) Klinger; Sisters: Sue Hall, Marie (Jim) Wilson and Kathy (Forrest) Leyes; Sister-in-law: Janet Klinger; Grandchildren: Dawson, Breeanna, Colton, Garrett, Brynlee and Roman; Mother-in-law: Evelyn M. (Falldorf) Etherington; Nieces and Nephews. 

Funeral Service will be held at 1:00 P.M. on Friday, September 28, 2018 at Barnes Funeral Home, 411 N. Commerce St., Lewisburg, OH with Pastor Jeff Ginter officiating. Interment will be held in Wares Chapel Cemetery, West Manchester, OH. Family will receive friends from 5 – 8 P.M. on Thursday, September 27, 2018 at the funeral home.
