Robert E. Hays, Jr.

Robert E. “Bobby” Hays, Jr., 75 of Sarasota, FL, and formerly of Fairhaven (Preble County) OH, went home to be with the Lord Tuesday, February 9, 2021, in Sarasota, FL. Born on March 31, 1945 in Columbus, MS, the son of the late Robert & Vera (Williams) Hays. 

He attended Fairhaven Elementary School, Columbus State School and Preble County/Eaton Workshop. Robert retired from Winn Dixie, North Fort Myers, FL. He was a former member of Fairhaven Community Church and Northside Baptist Church in North Fort Myers, FL. Preceded in death by Brothers: James Stephen Hays in 1947 and John Douglas Hays in 1951. 

Survived by Sisters and Brothers-In-Law: Linda & Randy Fetters, Lakewood Ranch, FL and Kimberly and Ron Stubblefield, Urbana, OH; Niece & Nephew: Renee Nicole (Ben) Teater and Erick Hays Crowe; 2 Grand Nieces & 2 Grand Nephews. 

Family will receive friends from 6:00 PM to 7:00 PM, Friday, March 5, 2021, Barnes Funeral Home, 220 East Main Street, Eaton, OH. Interment will be in Fairhaven Cemetery, Fairhaven, OH at 11:00 AM on Saturday, March 6, 2021 with Rev. Dr. Richard Studebaker officiating.
