Robert E. "Bob" Line

Robert E. “Bob” Line, 85 of Eaton, Ohio, died Sunday, December 6, 2020 in Vandalia, Ohio. Born on November 11, 1935 in Dayton, Ohio, he was the son of the late Albertis “Dick” & Laura (Rurode) Line. Bob retired from Barnes Funeral Homes, Inc. as a Funeral Attendant. He was a 1953 graduate of Eaton High School and had served in the U.S. Army from 1955 to 1957 and served in the Ohio National Guard in Eaton for many years. He had also worked for his father-in-law John Barnhart as a Carpenter and had also worked at Harrison Radiator in Dayton. Member of Sugar Valley Methodist Church. 

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his Brother: Jack Line; brother-in-law and sister-in-law: Dick and Phyllis Stephenson. 

Survived by Wife of 62 years: Linda L. (Barnhart) Line; Son: Todd E. Line, Lewisburg, Ohio; Daughter: Jayne A. (Brandon) Ledbetter, Camden, Ohio; Sister-in-law: Nancy Line, Eaton, Ohio; Brother-in-law: Jack (Janene) Barnhart, Eaton, OH; 2 Granddaughters: Emily and Kara. Nieces, Nephews, Cousins and host of friends. 

Funeral Service will be held at 11:00 A.M., Wednesday, December 9, 2020 at Barnes Funeral Home, 220 East Main Street, Eaton, Ohio with Rev. Gerry Sadai officiating. Interment will be held in Mound Hill Cemetery in Eaton with military honors by the Preble County Honor Guard. There will be a public walk through viewing on Tuesday, December 8, 2020 from 4 to 6 P.M. and one hour prior to service on Wednesday. 

Due to the COVID-19 pandemic, you are required to wear a facemask prior to entering the funeral home and practice social distancing.
