Robert E. Black

Robert E. Black age 81 of West Alexandria, Ohio died Wednesday on March 15, 2023, at his residence. Robert was born on March 7, 1942, in Preble County, Ohio the son of the late Lester M. & Mazie Mae (Baker) Black. A 1962 Jefferson High School graduate and he served in the U.S. Army. In his early years he coached girls T Ball in Eaton.

Preceded in death by brothers: Everett M. Black in 1980 and John J. Black in 1996; sisters: Lily Hunt in 2012, Margaret Tice in 1996, and Martha Black in 1957.

Survived by sisters: Mabel E. Wilson of Hagerstown, Indiana and Mary L. Sollenberger of Verona, Ohio; several nieces and nephews.

Family will receive friends from 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM Wednesday, March 29, 2023, at Barnes Funeral Home, 220 East Main Street, Eaton, Ohio. The Celebration of Life Service will be held at 12:00 P.M. at the funeral home. Interment will be held in Springlawn Cemetery in New Paris, OH.
