Rhonda Ailene Whittaker

Rhonda Ailene (VanWinkle) Whittaker, 79, of Richmond, IN, went to be with the Lord on Saturday, August 12, 2017. Born on February 7, 1938 in Jackson Co., KY, daughter of the late James Leslie & Minnie (Campbell) VanWinkle. Ailene graduated in 1955 from McKee High School in Kentucky. Ailene loved First Assembly of God in Richmond, IN.

Preceded in death by her husband, Arnold Clay “Bud” Whittaker in 2011; sister, Gladys Faye Northern in 1985; brother, Ronald Lee VanWinkle in 2005.

Survived by her children, Teresa (Robert) McElhinny, Byron (Marilyn) Whittaker and Steve (Marla) Whittaker; sisters, Joyce Gatliff, Imogene Isaacs, Delores Ballinger, Carol Ballinger and Beulah VanWinkle; brothers, Eddie VanWinkle, Larry VanWinkle and James Danny VanWinkle; grandchildren, Tiffany, Brandon, Tiana, Michael, Jeremy, Megan and Joshua; great grandchildren, Dakota, Bryant, Christian, Nevaeh and Nathanial Robert “Nate Bob”.

Funeral Services will be held at 2:00 P.M. on Wednesday, August 16, 2017 at Barnes Funeral Home, 109 W. Main St., New Paris, OH with Pastor Carlos King officiating. Interment will be held in Springlawn Cemetery in New Paris, OH. Family will receive friends from 12:00 P.M. to 2:00 P.M. on Wednesday prior to the funeral.
