Ona L. Coons 82 of Eaton, Ohio died Thursday December 8, 2022, at Kettering Health of Troy. Ona was born on October 10, 1940, in Homer, New York the daughter of the late Henry & Grace (Seaman) George. She formerly lived in the Perrysburg, Ohio and retired from Myers in Rossford, Ohio in 2011. A volunteer at Preble County Senior Citizens Center, Cincinnati Reds, and Detroit Tigers Fan, attended the New Lebanon Church of the Nazarene, member of the V.F.W. Auxiliary and the Eagles Lodge #2202 of Eaton.


Preceded in death by her 1st husband: James O. Ruby, Sr. in 1994 and 2nd husband: John E. Coons in 2012, son: Terry Ruby in 2022, sister: Barbara Knight in 2000 Brothers: Henry George and Loren George.


She is survived by her children: James Ruby, Jr., Scott & Pam Ruby, Albert & Franki Coons, John & Kim Coons, Karl & Pam Coons, Brenda & Steve Delgado, Patty Bowling, Beverly Ruby and Donna & Jimmy Parker. Several Grandchildren, and Great Grandchildren.


A Celebration of Life Service will be 12:00 P.M. Tuesday, December 13, 2022, at Barnes Funeral Home 220 East Main Street Eaton, Ohio with Pastor Thomas Clark officiating. Interment will be in Fairmount Cemetery Camden, Ohio. Memorial contributions may be made to: Diabetes Fund. Condolences at www.barnesfuneralhome.com
