Myrl L. Spencer

Myrl L. Spencer age 74, of Eaton, Ohio died Wednesday, October 31, 2007 at Reid Hospital in Richmond, IN. Born in 1933 in Breathitt County, KY. He was a graduate of Eaton High School and the University of Dayton and served in the U.S. Army. Myrl was a Mechanical Engineer at Standard Register in Dayton retiring in 1997. He was also a member of Eaton Baptist Temple and a Kentucky Colonel. Preceded in death by his father: Sheridan Spencer in 1982 and brother: Alvin Spencer in 1985.

Survived by wife of 41 years: Carol (Burden) Spencer; Son: Rick Spencer of Kettering, OH; Daughters & Son-In-Law: Mendy & Jeff Tebbe of Fairfield, OH and Megan Spencer of Cincinnati, OH. Mother: Sinda Spencer of Eaton, OH; Brothers: Rev. Lowell T. Spencer, Stanley Spencer and Roy Spencer all of Eaton, OH; Sisters: Norma Drew of Trotwood, OH; Glenda Davidson of Ocala, FL; Thanna Elfner of Novi, MI and Pamela Spencer of Herndon, VA; 4 Grandchildren: MacKenzie & Brent Hintze, Nicholas & Matthew Cochran; many nieces and nephews and his breakfast buddies at The Eaton Place.

A celebration of Myrl’s life will be held 11:00 a.m. Monday November 5, 2007 at the Eaton Baptist Temple - 416 East Decatur Street - Eaton, OH with Rev. Lowell T. Spencer officiating. Please come to share your favorite memories of Myrl. Interment will be held in Preble Memory Gardens - West Alexandria, OH with full military honors provided by the Preble County Honor Guard. Family will receive friends from 2 to 5 PM Sunday November 4, 2007 at Barnes Funeral Home - 220 East Main Street - Eaton, OH and one hour prior to the service at the church.
