Melvin L. Hartman

Melvin L. Hartman, 83 of Eaton, OH went to be with the Lord on Sunday, May 15, 2016. Born on October 10, 1932 in Lewisburg, OH, son of the late Russell & Isa Iola (Brown) Hartman. Mel proudly served in the US Air Force during the Korean War. Mel Served his country for many years through various capacities. Member of the American Legion. Member of the Eaton Baptist Temple.

Preceded by daughter, Valerie Chambers; son, Dennis Scheiding.

Survivors include his wife of 46 years, Beatrice (Hartshorn) Hartman; children, Rick (Jennie) Hartman, Stuart (Celeste) Hartman, Diana (Larry) Crye and Linda Craig; siblings, Russell Hartman and Catherine Houdeshell; 14 grandchildren and 20 great grandchildren.

Funeral Service will be held at 1:00 P.M., Saturday, May 21, 2016 at Barnes Funeral Home, 220 E. Main St., Eaton, OH with Rev. Lowell T. Spencer officiating. Interment will be in Sugar Grove Cemetery in West Alexandria, OH. Family will receive friends from 12:00 P.M. to 1:00 P.M. prior to the funeral on Saturday.
