Martin E. “Bud” Connell, age 78, of New Paris, Ohio died Friday, July 1, 2005 at Reid Hospital in Richmond, Indiana. Born on October 4, 1926 in Dixon Township - Preble County, Ohio he was the son of the late Dennis P. & Nina (Eikenberry) Connell. He retired from P.J. Blacktop & Excavating of Richmond, IN. He was a WW II U.S. Navy veteran and a member of the V.F.W. Post 8066 of Eaton. Preceded in death by twin sister: Maxine Coleman in 1987.

Survived by Son & daughter-in-law: Larry E. & Kris Connell of West Manchester, OH; Daughter: Linda S. Pegg of Eaton, OH.; Brother: Carl M. Connell of Utah. 5 Grandchildren: Paul A. Connell, Steven Sowder, Heather Hickman, Mark (Sarah) Connell and Amanda (Dave) Addington. 4 Great Grandchildren: Dallas Sowder, Chelsea Crumbaugh, Ella Connell and Kerry Addington; Nieces, Nephews and Cousins.

Funeral service will be Wednesday, July 6, 2005 - 12:00 PM (Ohio Time) at Barnes Funeral Home - 220 East Main Street - Eaton, Ohio with Rev. Lowell T. Spencer officiating. Interment will be in Fairmount Cemetery - Camden, Ohio with full Military Honors provided by the Preble County Honor Guard. Family will receive friends on Wednesday, July 6, 2005 from 10 to 12 PM (Ohio Time) at the funeral home. Condolences may be sent to the family via Guest Book www.barnesfuneralhome.com
