Martha Louise Green

MARTHA L. GREEN, age 80, of Camden, Ohio died Thursday, June 14, 2007 at Miami Valley Hospital in Dayton, Ohio. Born on January 31, 1927 in Farmland, Indiana, she was the daughter of the late Lloyd Forest & Ina Ruby (Kinsey) Tharp. She had worked in the housekeeping department for McCullough-Hyde Hospital in Oxford, Ohio. She was a member of the Higher Heights Church of God in Camden, the Optimist Club in Eaton and was a founding member of the Camden Emergency Squad. She was active with the Preble County Senior Citizens and in 1991 she retired from the American Red Cross having given assistance along side her husband in over 25 national disasters. In addition to her parents she is preceded in death by her husband, Alvin E. Green in 1996; daughter, Sandra Fecke in 2006; sisters, Sarah Harris and Mary Ellen Tharp and brothers, Charles and Leland Dale Tharp.

Survived by her daughters & sons-in-law, Tonya & Tom Peffly and Annette & Jack Ford both of Camden, Ohio; sisters, Reba Allio of Indianapolis, Indiana, Barbara Hines of Bradenton, Florida, Dolores Rogers of Saint Petersburg, Florida and Madge Hiles of Columbus, Ohio; Nine Grandchildren and Four Great Grandchildren.

Funeral service will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Tuesday, June 19, 2007 at Higher Heights Church of God- 8111 South U.S. Rt. 127- Camden, Ohio 45311 with Rev. Marvin D. Hocker officiating. Interment will be held in Fairmount Cemetery in Camden, Ohio. Family will receive friends on Monday, June 18, 2007 from 4:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. at the church.
