Marilyn E. Fryman

Marilyn E. Fryman, 87, of Huber Heights, Ohio, formerly of Lewisburg, Ohio, died Thursday, January 20, 2022 in Dayton. Born on February 19, 1934 in Lewisburg, Ohio, she was the daughter of the late James B. & Eunice (Smith) Miller.

Marilyn was a 1952 graduate of Lewisburg Union High School, in November 1967 she assumed the duties of editor and office manager of The Leader newspaper in Lewisburg for many years and also wrote a column for the Leader. She also wrote a column called Bittersweet for the Northern Express when it was first published in 1992. Marilyn loved bowling, bird watching, spending time with her family and was a member of the First United Church of Christ in Lewisburg.

Preceded by her Husband of 67 years: Melvin D. Fryman in 2021; Sister: Joanne E. Drexler; Great Grandson: Eren Pennington.

Survived by her Sons: Steven (Constance) Fryman and Stan (Jeanie) Fryman; Brothers: James (Judy) Miller, Ron (Carolyn) Miller and Richard (Nancy) Miller; Sisters: Karol Riegel and Diana (Jim) Poppaw; 6 grandchildren: Chad (Christy) Fryman, Erika (Dennis) Howard, Sarah (Derek) Steele, Joni Artz, Adam Fryman and Beth (Stephen) Pennington and 10 great grandchildren.

Funeral Service will be held at 12:00 P.M. on Wednesday, January 26, 2022 at Barnes Funeral Home, 411 N. Commerce St., Lewisburg with Rev. David O. Justis officiating. Interment will be held in Sugar Grove Cemetery, West Alexandria, Ohio. The family will receive friends on Wednesday one hour prior to service at the funeral home.
