Linda Overholser Finn

Linda (Overholser) Finn, 69, of Marble Falls, TX died Saturday evening July 9, 2011.
She was born February 20, 1942 near New Paris, OH, the daughter of Donald Heber & Marie Frances (Ludy) Overholser. She grew up in the West Manchester area and graduated from Monroe High School, Class of 1960. She went on to graduate from Murray State, in Murray, KY.
Born in the farmlands of Ohio she implemented these loves as a school teacher for many years until she decided to devote herself fully to her family when the opportunity presented itself. Her nurturing and caring light illuminated the Finn household for many years, as well as the many charitable organizations in which she donated her time. She was an advocate of the arts, nature, and giving back to any community in which she resided. She enjoyed nothing more than to sit ourside and watch her beloved birds, preferable with the laughter of her children, grandchild, and nieces and nephews nearby. She was a woman of intense spirituality and faith, but could be found infectiously chuckling at her favorite television show. She will be greatly missed. Linda was preceded in death by her parents, her daughter Michelle Finn, and a niece, Lisa Oda Fede`.
She is survived by her loving and devoted husband, Marvin; her 2 sons Greg Finn & wife Brenda of Katy TX, Michael Finn & girlfriend Leah Wright of Santa Monica CA, grandson Matthew Finn; 2 brothers, Jack Overholser & wife Peg, New Madison, & John Overholser, West Manchester; 3 sisters, Fanny Leas & husband Ed, Eaton, Carol Oda & husband Larry, Arcanum, JoAnn Overholser, Eldorado; many nieces & nephews.
Services and visitation will be held Tuesday & Wednesday in Texas. Locally, a Funeral Service will be held at 12:00 Noon Friday, July 15, 2011 at the Bussard-Barnes-Vaniman Funeral Home, 311 N. Main St., Eldorado, OH, with Pastor Gary Cloyd officiating.
Friends may call from 10:00AM to 12:00 Noon prior to the service on Friday. Interment to follow at Wares Chapel Cemetery, West Manchester, OH. If desired, memorials may be made to CASA or St. Paul the Apostle Chapel.
