Lida Mae (Grant) Potter, age 88, of Eaton, OH, died on Wednesday, May 27, 2020, at the Greenbrier in Eaton, Ohio. Born on April 26, 1932 in Clark Co., Ohio, daughter of the late Thomas & Mildred (Somers) Grant.  

Lida Mae was a 1950 Graduate of Lewisburg Union High School. She was a Lifelong Democrat, a voice for the down trodden and an activist for Peace & Equality for all, humans and animals.  

She was host parent for Children’s Friendship Project, bringing together teenagers from Ireland, Australia, Germany and many other countries. Member of the Preble County Democratic Party, the ACLU, the Richmond Civic Theater and the York Symphony of Pennsylvania.

Preceded by her Husband, Brondell R. “Ray” Potter in 2018; Son, Van Lee Potter in 1954; Brother, Thomas Edmond Grant in 2007.  

Survived by her Beloved cat Callie and her Family, Dan and Kathleen Mattis Stevens of Eaton, OH, Sarah, Sam, Allison and Ella Julianne Byrd, Galesburg, IL, Matt and Casey Stevens, Richmond, IN, Lillian Grant, Brian and Pamela Grant of Xenia, OH, Paul, Maria, Sinead, Paul and Rioghnach McGuigan, all of Northern Ireland, Gertrude Pinea of York, PA and many extended family and friends around the world.  

Special thanks to Rev. Raymond and Mary Rothwell of Eaton, OH and to the staff of The Greenbrier for their love and care of Lida Mae.  

Honoring Lida Mae’s request, no services will be held. Memorial contributions may be made to the Preble County Democratic Party and a vote for Joe Biden.
