John Russell Begoon

John Russell Begoon, age 69, of New Paris, OH, died on Thursday, Jan. 4, 2018 at Reid Hospital surrounded by his loving family. Born on Dec. 2, 1948 in Dayton, OH, son of the late William Russell & Bertha Marie (Clem) Begoon. John graduated in 1968 from New Madison High School. He retired in 2004 after 30 years from Frebco, Inc. and the Plumber & Pipe Fitters Local 162 in Dayton, OH. John loved most of all his grandchildren.   In his earlier years he was an avid hunter, trapper and fisherman. He enjoyed showing his 1938 Ford hot rod at car shows. 

Preceded in death by Sister: Greta Bowers. 

Survived by Wife of 20 years: Janice (Carter) Begoon; Children: Charlene (Clint) Wright, Kris Comer, Marcy (Mike) MacQueen; Brothers: William (Linda) Begoon, Ronald (Valerie) Begoon, Daryl (Sharon) Begoon, Kevin Begoon; Sisters: Sherry Bailey, Lona Elliott, Lisa (John) Mantz; Grandchildren: Lauren, Rachael, & Aaron Wright; Carter & Luke MacQueen; numerous nieces and nephews. 

Funeral Service will be held at 4:00 P.M., Tuesday, Jan. 9, 2018 at Barnes Funeral Home, 109 West Main St., New Paris, OH with Pastor Gary Cloyd officiating. Family will receive friends from 2:00 P.M. to 4:00 P.M. on Tuesday prior to the funeral. In Lieu of Flowers, please donate to the New Paris Community Food Pantry, St. Paul UMC, 301 E.
