James R. Singleton

James R. "Bobby" Singleton, 55, of New Paris, OH, died Wednesday, October 4, 2017 at his residence. He was born on December 30, 1961 in Richmond, Indiana, son of the late James Richard and Joyce Ann (Rettinger) Singleton. He was a retired member of the United States Marine Corp., where he proudly served his country. He loved to fish and hunt but his greatest joy came from spending time with his family and friends.

In addition to his parents, James is preceded in death by his sister, Donina Witt.

He is survived by his wife, Tammy R. (Guidry) Singleton; son, James Robert Singleton II; daughters and son-in-law, Jennifer (Curtis) Collins, Jessica Singleton and Laura; brothers, Ricky and Richie Singleton; granddaughters, Maisie, Serenity and Jadelynn Collins and grandson, Cayden Clark.

A Memorial Service will be held at 7:00 p.m., Monday, October 9, 2017 at Barnes Funeral Home, 109 West Main St., New Paris, OH., with Rev. James Siozelove officiating and Military honors presented by the Preble County Honor Guard. Family will receive friends on Monday, one hour prior to the service at the funeral home.
