James Charles Craig

James C. Craig, age 73, of Jacksonburg, OH, died, Tuesday, July 18, 2017 at Fort Hamilton Hospital in Hamilton, OH. James was born on July 27, 1943 in Hamilton, OH, son of the late Leonard T. and Helen L. (Pelfrey) Craig. James was a life-long farmer and was a mechanic for Bob Wise Trucking in Middletown. James also worked for the Wayne Township Road & Maintenance Department, was a volunteer firefighter for the Wayne Township Fire Department and worked for Gerber Farms in Jacksonburg. His greatest joy came from spending time with his family and friends.

He is preceded in death by his parents; his daughter, Christy Shackleford in 2015 and his brother, Thomas Craig.

Survived by his wife of 56 years, Sandra J. (Beasley) Craig; daughter and son-in-law, Cyndi and Joe Walters; grandson, Colton Craig and son-in-law, Greg Shackleford.

Funeral Service will be held at 12:00 PM on Friday, July 21, 2017 at Barnes Funeral Home, 220 East Main Street, Eaton, OH with Rev. James Sizelove officiating. Interment will be held in the Simonson Chapel Cemetery, St. Rt. 503, Wayne Township, Butler County, OH. Family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at the funeral home.
