James C. "Jim" Mcginnis

James C. “Jim” McGinnis, age 90, of New Paris, OH, died on Friday, March 2, 2018.   Born on June 9, 1927 in Grainger County, Tennessee, son of the late Pryor & Ova (Vinyard) McGinnis. Jim proudly served in the US Army and the US Air Force during World War II and the Korean War. Jim retired in 1993 after many years as a truck driver with Zumstein in Lewisburg, Ohio. Preceded by his Siblings: Lawrence McGinnis, Pryor McGinnis and Nava Marsio.  

Survived by his Wife of 61 years: Myrna L. (Markley) McGinnis; Son: Brian (Tricia) McGinnis; Grandchildren: Kyle and Holly; Nephew: Mike (Jan) Markley; Nieces: Linda, Nancy and Lisa.

Memorial Service will be held at 6:00 P.M., Friday, March 9, 2018 at Barnes Funeral Home, 109 W. Main Street, New Paris, OH with Rev. Justin Murphy officiating. Family will receive friends from 5:00 P.M. to 6:00 P.M. Condolences may be sent via www.barnesfuneralhome.com
