J.D. HALL , age 86, of Johnstown, Ohio and formerly of New Paris, Ohio died Sunday, January 30, 2005 at Northview Senior Living Center in Johnstown, Ohio. Born on November 29, 1918 in Mt. Carmel, Illinois, he was the son of the late Frank & Jesse (Rigg) Hall. A 1936 graduate of Jackson High School, he was a farmer until 1955 and had owned the Mobil Station in New Paris. He retired from Jones and Juday in New Paris. Member of the Knights of Columbus, Preble County Fair Board and St. John’s Catholic Church. He was a 4-H advisor. Preceded in death by Wife: Marie(Loschiavo) Hall in 1979; Sister: Ruby Goodwin.

Survived by Daughter & Son-in-law: Patricia & Stephen Heughebart of Johnstown, Ohio and Son: Thomas Hall of Indianapolis, Indiana; Sister: Mary Troutwine of Woodstock, Georgia; Grandchildren: Laura Futral, Teresa Venable, Michael Behnen, David Behnen, Amy Christman and Justin Hall. Nine Great Grandchildren.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 11:00 a.m. - Friday, February 4, 2005 at St. John’s Catholic Church- North Spring Street- New Paris, Ohio with Rev. J. Thomas Fitzsimmons officiating. Interment will be held in St. Mary’s Catholic Cemetery in Richmond, Indiana. Family will receive friends on Thursday, February 3, 2005 from 3:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. at the Barnes Funeral Home-109 West Main Street- New Paris, Ohio.
