Hugh E. Storer

HUGH E. STORER, 91, of Eaton, OH, died Sunday, March 20, 2011 at his home. Born on January 23, 1920 in Farmersville, OH, he was the son of the late Charles C. and Carrie E. (Roof) Storer. Hugh was a 1937 graduate of West Alexandria High School, a WW II U.S. Army Veteran having served in the 411th AAA Gun Battalion.

Hugh was a member of the Eaton United Church of Christ, Odd Fellows and American Legion Post #215 in Eaton. He and his brothers were owners and operators of Storer Bros. Implements in Eaton during the early 1950s.

Preceded in death by his Wife: Ruth F. (Cail) Storer in 1997; Sisters: Florence Wehrley and Elinor Somers; Brothers: Harold, Keith, George and Stanley Storer.

Left to mourn his passing are his Wife of 12 years: Joyce E. (Bowers) Gerhardt Storer, Daughters: Nancy Newland, Wapakoneta, OH, Anne Storer, Cincinnati, OH; Son: Hugh R. (Therese) Storer, Norwalk, OH; Step-Children: Julia (Tom) Hypes, Lewisburg, OH, Janet (Bill) Bowers, Eaton, OH; Brothers: Paul (Josie) Storer, Richmond, IN, Loren (Eunice) Storer, Houston, TX; Sisters: Jane Smith, Eaton, OH; Lois Baughman, West Alexandria, OH; Sister-in-law: Vangie Storer, Edinburg, TX. 15 Grandchildren and 10 Great Grandchildren, Nieces, Nephews and Cousins.

Funeral Service will be held at 10:00 A.M. on Saturday, March 26, 2011 at Barnes Funeral Home, 220 East Main Street, Eaton, OH with Roger L. Stine officiating. Interment will be held in Mound Hill Cemetery in Eaton with full military honors by the Preble County Honor Guard. Family will receive friends on Friday, March 25, 2011 from 4 – 7 P.M. at the funeral home.
