Harold W. Carroll

HAROLD W. CARROLL, age 75, of Lewisburg, Ohio, died Monday, August 2, 2004 at Good Samaritan Hospital in Dayton, Ohio. Born on June 5, 1929 in Shelby County, Ohio, he was the son of the late Leslie Harrison and Leona Ellen (Hook) Carroll. He was a U.S. Army Korean Conflict veteran and was a retired Twin and Harrison Township farmer. He worked at Fryman-Kuck in Dayton, Ohio and was a sales clerk for Brandon Hardware in Lewisburg, Ohio. Member of the Providence Lutheran Church in Brookville, Ohio and a life member of the Twin Valley Rod and Gun Club. Preceded in death by Sister: Mary Davis and Brother: Thomas Adam Carroll and an infant brother and sister.

Survived by his wife of 53 years: Dorine Etta (Wysong) Carroll; Daughters and Sons-in-law: Vickie L.and Steve Detro of Orlando, Florida, Sharon E. and Roscoe Etherington of Lewisburg, Ohio, Teresa A. and Jim Cook of St. Paris, Ohio, Linda K. and Ed Brower of Lewisburg, Ohio and Anita E. And Kim Myers of Arcanum, Ohio; Brother: Paul C. Carroll of Lady Lake, Florida; Sisters: Martha Stover of Piqua, Ohio, Thelma Oldham of Lima, Ohio and Clara Mae Schnur of Irvington, IL; Seventeen Grandchildren and Six Great Grandchildren.

Funeral Service will be held at 11:00 A.M. Friday, August 6, 2004 at Providence Lutheran Church -11475 Providence Pike - Brookville, Ohio, with the Rev. William Wake officiating. Interment will be held in Royal Oak Memorial Gardens - Brookville, Ohio with full military honors provided by the Preble County Honor Guard. Family will receive friends on Thursday, August 5, 2004 from 5:00 P.M. to 8:00 P.M. at Barnes Funeral Home - 411 North Commerce Street -Lewisburg, Ohio 45338 and one hour prior to the service at the church.
