GORDON R. LYBROOK, age 91, of Oxford, OH and formerly of Fairhaven, OH, died Friday, August 26, 2011 at the Knolls of Oxford where he has been a resident since 2003. Born on April 21, 1920 in Israel Twp., Preble Co., OH, he was the son of the late Marion M. & Faye (Ramsey) Lybrook. He was a 1938 Dixon High School graduate, member of the Preble County Farm Bureau Discussion Group #4, Fairhaven United Methodist Church where he served as a Sunday school teacher, Treasurer and sang in the church choir, member of the Eaton Optimist Club and Past Club President, Preble County Soil & Water Conservation, having been inducted into their Hall of Fame. Gordon served as Clerk for Israel Twp. School Board and served on the Preble County Board of Education.

Preceded in death by his Wife of 69 years: Rosemary (Morton) Lybrook on August 29, 2010; Brother: Donald Marion Lybrook in 1931.

Survived by his Daughter & Son-in-law: Mardyne (John) Brower, Camden, OH; Brother & Sister-in-law: William (Janet) Lybrook, Camden, OH. Granddaughter: Susan (Jay) Jacobs, Western Springs, IL; Great Grandchildren: Nicholas, Emily and Alison Jacobs.

Funeral Service will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Monday, August 29, 2011 at Barnes Funeral Home, 220 East Main Street, Eaton, OH with Rev. George Copus officiating. Interment will be held in Fairhaven Cemetery. Family will receive friends on Monday from 11:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m.
