Gordon R. Carr

Gordon R. Carr, age 69, formerly of Camden, Ohio, died Tuesday, November 27, 2007 in Florida. Born on December 28, 1937 in West Elkton, Ohio he was the son of the late Jack & Violet (Smith) Carr. Gordon served in the U.S. Army and was employed at General Motors for 26 years retiring in 1989. He was a member of the New Testament Baptist Church in Cape Coral, Fl.

Survived by wife: Bonnie (Drake) Carr; Children: Carol Hamblin of Franklin, OH; Richard Farley and Robert E. Carr both of North Ft. Myers, Fl; Thomas R. Carr of Eaton, OH and Donald A. Carr of Port St. Lucy, Fl. 11 grandchildren, 2 great grandchildren, nieces and nephews.

Graveside service will be held 11:00 am Wednesday, December 5, 2007 at Fairmount Cemetery in Camden, OH. with Pastor Bill Botts officiating. Full military services will be provided by the Preble County Honor Guard. Family will receive friends from 4:00 to 8:00 PM on Tuesday, December 4, 2007 at Nein - Barnes Funeral Home - 249 North Main Street - Camden, Ohio.
