Geneva M Richards

Geneva M. Richards, age 97, formerly of the Eldorado area, passed away Saturday, June 16, 2007 at the VanCrest Care Center, Eaton, OH where she had resided for 5 ½ years.<br><br>Geneva was born near Eldorado on May 1, 1910, the daughter of Vern E. & Lottie (Spencer) Eikenbery. She was a 1928 graduate of Monroe High School, West Manchester, OH. A lifetime resident of Preble County, she was a homemaker, wife, mother & grandmother, and a member of Rachel Rebekah Lodge # 144 I.O.O.F., Eaton, OH, where in 1992 she proudly received her 50 yr. pin. <br><br>Geneva was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Theodore “Ted” Richards (6/30/92); 2 sisters, Evelyn McClure and Glenna Garber. <br><br>Survivors include her daughter, Charlotte Barnhiser, Lewisburg, OH; 3 grandchildren, Micky (Cheryl) Barnhiser, Middletown, OH; Vicky (Jim) Cass, Martinsville, IN; Christy Green & Don Lowe, Troy, OH; 5 great- grandchildren; 10 great-great grandchildren; 1 sister, Helen Kitson, Durham, NC; former grandchildren-in-law Richard Green, Peggy Hudgel, Bonnie Barnhiser; many nieces, nephews, and friends. <br><br>The Funeral Service for Geneva Richards will be held Tuesday, June 19 at 12 Noon at the Bussard-Barnes-Vaniman Funeral Home, 311 N. Main St., Eldorado, OH., with Rev. Raymond Rothwell officiating. Friends may call 2 hours prior to the service. Burial will follow at Monroe Cemetery. Memorials to the North Central Rescue Squad.
