GARNET C. RICE, age 80 of Lewisburg, Ohio died Wednesday, February 18, 2004 in Tarpon Springs, Florida. Born on July 26, 1923 in Preble County, Ohio, she was the daughter of the late John & Effie Locke. She was a 1941 Lewisburg Union High School graduate and a member of Trinity Lutheran Church in Lewisburg. Preceded in death by Brother: Raymond Clay.

Survived by Husband of 54 years: William Russell “Russ” Rice; Sons & Daughters-in-law: Don Zumbrun and Betty, Eaton, Ohio, Stephen & Pam Rice, Lewisburg, Ohio; Daughters & Sons-in-law: Joanne (Zumbrun) & Donald Whipp, Lewisburg, Ohio, Susan & Jim Heeter, Houston, Texas; Brother: John Clay, Lewisburg, Ohio; 8 Grandchildren, 6 Great Grandchildren.

Funeral Service will be held on Monday, February 23, 2004 - 11:00 A.M. at Trinity Lutheran Church - 511 North Commerce Street - Lewisburg, Ohio with Pastor Brent L. Cavendish officiating. Interment will be held in Roselawn Cemetery in Lewisburg. Family will receive friends on Monday, February 23, 2004 from 10:00 - 11:00 A.M. at the Church. Memorial Contributions may be made to Trinity Lutheran Church - 511 North Commerce Street - Lewisburg, Ohio 45338. Arrangements: Barnes Funeral Home - Lewisburg, Ohio.
