Franklin D. Studebaker, Sr.

Franklin D. Studebaker, Sr. age 83 of Arcanum, Butler Township, Ohio died Friday, December 25, 2020 at Miami Valley Hospital in Dayton, Ohio. Born on December 8, 1937 in West Manchester, Ohio he was the son of the late Ozro Dewitt & Eva (Birkhead) Studebaker. He worked at the Marble Cliff Quarry in Preble County and was a retired truck driver for Zumstein’s Trucking in Lewisburg, OH after 42 years. Member of Twin Creek Chapel, Power of The Past of Darke County, Ohio; Tri-State Tractor Association of Portland, IN; Lawn & Garden Association; Darke County Farm Bureau and was a supporter for Make A Wish Foundation, St. Jude Children's Research and many Veteran's projects. 

Preceded in death by wife of 61 years: Rona L. Studebaker in 2016; grandson: Thomas D. Tedore in 2005; Brothers: Allen Studebaker in 2001, Lou Hudson, Pearl Studebaker, Lawrence “Charlie” Studebaker in 2020, Alvin Studebaker, Paul “Peter” Studebaker, Ozro “Jake” Studebaker, Garnet Garner and an infant sister.

Survivors children: Peggy & Tom Tedore of Lewisburg, OH; Franklin & Jann Studebaker, Jr. of Greenville, OH; Retired U.S. Army SSG Michael & Mary Studebaker of Arcanum, OH; Rock & Lynn Studebaker of Lewisburg, OH; James & Connie Studebaker of Winchester, IN; Brenda & Tim Brannon of Lewisburg, OH; Pam Pyle of Arcanum, OH Sisters: Bertie Garner of Lewisburg, OH and Velma Gibson of Florida. 16 grandchildren; 33 great grandchildren and numerous great great grandchildren; many nieces and nephews.

Family will receive friends from 11:00 AM to 1:00 PM Wednesday December 30, 2020 at Barnes Funeral Home 411 North Commerce Street Lewisburg, OH. The funeral service will be 1:00 PM at the Funeral Home with Rev. Rodney Shelley and Rev. Randy Smith officiating. Interment will be in Twin Creek Chapel Cemetery. Due to the COVID-19 pandemic, you are required to wear a facemask prior to entering the funeral home.
