Florence E. Neel

Florence E. (Hardwick) Neel, age 86, of New Paris, Ohio died Friday, January 30, 2009 in Medina, Ohio. Born on December 4, 1922 in Richmond, Indiana, she was the daughter of the late George F. & Lella M. (Judd) Hardwick. She graduated in 1941 from Richmond Senior High School in Richmond, Indiana. Florence played xylophone for the Jack Kurkowski Band for several years. Florence worked for over 30 years with "Phillips Recording Company" P. R. C. in Richmond, Indiana. Member of First United Presbyterian Church in New Paris, Ohio.

Preceded in death by husband of 36 years, Robert O. Neel in 2008, step-son, Robert A. Neel; step-grandson, Curtis Neel.

Survived by her daughter & son-in-law, Delynn Derago Warfel & John Warfel of Medina, Ohio; step sons, Danny Neel of Richmond, Indiana, Terry (Linda) Neel and Mark (Paula) Neel both of Phoenix, Arizona; grandchildren, Jill and Eric; step grandchildren, Robert, Amanda, Terry, Kaitlin, Kim, Phil, Dakota and Raylene; great granddaughter; Elizabeth; step-great grandson, Garrett; cousins and friends.

Funeral Service will be at 2:00 P.M. on Tuesday, February 3, 2009 at Barnes Funeral Home, 109 West Main St., New Paris, Ohio with Rev. Dennis Andrews officiating. Interment will be held in Greenmound Cemetery in New Madison, Ohio. Family will receive friends on Tuesday, February 3, 2009 from 1:00 P.M. to 2:00 P.M. at the funeral home.
