Eva M. (Partain) Spegal

EVA M. (PARTAIN) SPEGAL, age 91 of Arcanum, Ohio died Monday, January 26, 2009 at Wayne Hospital in Greenville, Ohio after an extended illness. Born on February 26, 1917 in Lapel, Indiana, she was the daughter of the late Chauncey & Elizabeth (Coverdale) Partain. She graduated in 1936 from Lapel High School in Lapel, Indiana. Eva had worked for Crosley in Richmond, Indiana for many years. Eva retired after 27 ½ years as an assembler for AVCO in Richmond, Indiana. She attended the Ft. Jefferson United Methodist Church in Ft. Jefferson, Ohio.

Preceded in death by husband of 66 years, Norris W. Spegal in 2003; son, Ivan Duane Spegal in 1991; grandson, Michael D. Moore in 1970; sisters, Murriel Fisher & Ruth Thompson; brothers, Everett Partain, Roger Partain, Willis Partain and Carrel Partain; son-in-law, Robert L. Moore in 2007.

Survived by daughter, Patricia Ann Moore of New Paris, Ohio; grandson, Brian Moore of New Paris, Ohio; very good friends, Louise Clawson and Martha Gade both of Greenville, Ohio.

Funeral Service will be held on Thursday, January 29, 2009 at 1:00 p.m. at Barnes Funeral Home, 109 West Main Street, New Paris, Ohio with Pastor Doug Baker officiating. Interment will be in Spring Lawn Cemetery in New Paris, Ohio. Family will receive friends on Thursday, January, 29, 2009 from 11:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. at the funeral home.
