Elizabeth Jane "Betty" Eikenberry

Elizabeth Jane “Betty” Eikenberry, 92, of Eaton, Ohio, died Saturday, February 25, 2023 in Eaton. Born on February 1, 1931 in Toledo, Ohio, she was the daughter of the late Clarence C. & Gladys E. (Shafer) Schmidt. Betty retired after 25 years as a vocational and general science teacher for Tri County North School District in Lewisburg. She was a 1949 graduate of Findlay High School, 1954 graduate of The Ohio State University, O.E.S. Iona Chapter #5, Alpha Garden Club in Eaton, Alpha Gamma Delta Sorority, American Association of University Women & Founding President of Eaton Chapter of Kappa Phi Methodist Church Sorority and member of Concord Church.

In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her Husband: James P. “Jim” Eikenberry in 2013.

Survived by Daughters: Lyn K. (William Lipscomb) Earman, Jane A. Eikenberry, and Peggy Sue (Ralph) Holmes; Sister: Margaret E. (Robert) McColgan; 7 grandchildren and 9 great grandchildren.

A Private Graveside Service will be held at the convenience of the family in Mound Hill Cemetery in Eaton with Rev. James Sizelove officiating.
