Elbert C. Bush, Sr.

Elbert C. Bush, Sr., age 91 of West Alexandria, Ohio, died Thursday, May 10, 2012 at Vancrest Health Care Center in Eaton, Ohio. Born on April 2, 1921 in Harlin County, Kentucky, son of the late Moran & Elizabeth (Morris) Bush. Elbert lived in Dayton area since 1953 and retired from Chrysler in 1972 after many years of service. Elbert proudly served as a Sergeant in the US Army during World War II. Member of the American Legion Post No. 613 of Dayton, Ohio. Life Member of the DAV.

Preceded in death by his Sons, Dennis Ray Bush and Carl Dennis Bush; Granddaughter, Denise; Brothers, Charles Bush Brothers, Clarence Bush, David Bush and Delmas; Sisters, Rosie Mae Mullins, Eura Flanery and Elsmer Bush; Very Special Child, Nathaniel Reasor.

Survived by his wife of 61 years, Mary Ann (Barker) Bush of West Alexandria, Ohio; Son, Elbert Carl Bush, Jr. of Fairborn, Ohio; Sister, Eula Marie "Dolly" Scarborough of Kentucky; Grandchildren, Jeremiah, Heather, Brittany, Jared, Renè; Great Grandchildren, Isabella and Scarlett; numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.

Funeral Service will be held 11:00 am, Tuesday, May 15, 2012 at Barnes Funeral Home, 220 East Main Street, Eaton, Ohio with Rev. Glen Timmons officiating. Interment will be held in Preble Memory Gardens with full military honors provided by the Preble County Honor Guard. Visitation will be held from 4:00 pm to 7:00 pm on Monday, May 14, 2012 at Barnes Funeral Home, 220 East Main Street, Eaton, Ohio.
