Edna May Ross

Edna May Ross, age 88 of Dayton, Ohio and formerly of Eaton, Ohio died Tuesday, December 21, 2010 at Kettering Memorial Hospital in Kettering, OH.
Born on July 14, 1922 in Eaton, OH she was the daughter of the late Ira & Amy (Shafer) Avra. Preceded in death by two infant daughters: Linda Lou and Sandra Sue Ross. Great Grandson: Lane Austin Ross; Sisters: Bertha Maxel, Margaret Davis, Mary Alice Griffith and Grace Wilson; Brothers: Lloyd Avra, James Avra and Everett Avra. Edna was a member of the Eaton Church of The Brethren. She will be remembered as a faithful wife, loving mother and caring grandmother and great-grandmother.

Survived by her Husband of 70 years: Victor P. Ross; Sons & Daughters-In-Law: Dale & Cheryl A. Ross of Dayton, OH and Jerry Lee & Faith Karen Ross of Richmond, IN.; Grandchildren: Tony Ross of Richmond, IN; Julie Ross of Richmond, IN; David Ross of Cleveland, OH; Jason (Amy) Ross of Atlanta, GA; Great Grandchildren: Hanna and Jacob Ross of Cleveland, OH; Thea Ross of Richmond, IN and Jonathan Skinner of Georgia. Sister Donna (Don) Sipe of Union City, IN. and numerous other family members.

Funeral services will be held 11:00 AM Friday, December 24, 2010 at Barnes Funeral Home – 220 East Main Street - Eaton, Ohio with Pastor Stan VanAusdal officiating. Family will receive friends on Friday, December 24, 2010 one hour prior to the service. Interment will be in Preble Memory Gardens.
