EDGAR COOK, age 78 of West Alexandria, Ohio died Monday, February 17, 2003 at his residence after an extended illness. Born on November 27, 1924 at Crown, Kentucky, he was the son of the late Louis & Susan (Adams) Cook. He was the Founder and Pastor of the Tru - Holiness Church of God in Glenwood, Ohio since 1953. He retried in 1986 after 36 ½ years as a mechanic and electrician at Regional Transit Authority (RTA) in Dayton, Ohio. Mr. Cook was a WW II U.S. Army veteran serving in Okinawa and Lady Island in the Pacific. He was a faithful, dedicated and loving husband, father and pastor. Preceded in death by Brothers: Elmer & Paul Cook; Sisters: Esta & Mabel Cook; Step-Mother: Alma Rose Cook; Brother-in-law: William Brown.

Survived by Wife of over 60 years: Daisy Mae (Markwell) Cook, Sons & Daughters-in-law: Alvin Edgar & Inas Cook, New Lebanon, Ohio, William Donald & Nina Cook, Whitewater, Florida; Sisters & Brother-in-law: Thelma & Hubert Bays, Merritt Island, Florida, Hazel Brown, Whitesburg, Kentucky; Brother & Sister-in-law: Riley & Opal Cook, Whitesburg, Kentucky; Half Brothers & Sisters-in-law: Wendell & Sarah Cook, Somerset, Kentucky, Wilmer & Patsy Cook, Danville, Kentucky; 5 Grandchildren: Timothy L. Cook, Dayton, Ohio, Toby D. & Jody S. Cook, New Lebanon, Ohio, William Todd Cook, Largo, Florida, Jennifer L. (Cook) Riegal, Clearwater, Florida; 6 Great Grandchildren: Joeh C., Joash, Madison, Riley D. & Taylor Cook and Zachary Riegal. Numerous Nephews, Nieces and Friends.

Funeral Service will be held on Friday, February 21, 2003 - 11:00 A.M. at the Tru - Holiness Church of God - 3165 U.S. Rt. 35 W - Glenwood, Ohio with Wayne Gibson and Darre L. Flynn officiating. Interment will be held in Fairview Cemetery, West Alexandria, Ohio with full military graveside services provided by the Preble County Honor Guard. . Family will receive friends on Thursday, February 20, 2003 from 4 - 7 P.M. at the Barnes Funeral Home - 220 East Main St. - Eaton, Ohio.
