Doyle "Cliff" Crawford

Doyle “Cliff” Crawford, age 79 of New Paris, Ohio died Tuesday, March 2, 2004 at Oak Ridge Rehabilitation in Richmond, Indiana. Born on September 16, 1924 in Greene County, Tennessee he was the son of the late Thomas H. & Fannie E. (Rhoton) Crawford.
Cliff had lived in the Richmond and New Paris area since 1948 and had retired from the Dana-Perfect Circle Corporation in 1986 after 27 years of service. Cliff accepted Jesus Christ as his personal Savior in 1960 and was a member of First Southern, Freedom Missionary and Victory Baptist Churches in Richmond over those years of service to God. He enjoyed singing and playing guitar Bluegrass-Gospel music as well as fishing in his latter years.
Preceded in death by Sisters: Murtie Mae Crawford in 1920 and Eloise Smith in 1989; Brothers: Clyde “Jack” Drexel Crawford in 1947, Carl Rex Crawford in 1980 and Henry Earl Crawford in 1990.
Survivors include wife of 56 years Georgia Ilene (Jackson) Crawford; Sons and Daughters-In-Law: Lester & Sylvia (Sandlin) Crawford and Jerry & Carol (Crowe) Crawford both of Richmond, Indiana. Brother: Ray Crawford of Bailyton, TN; Sister: Bonnie Wood of Surgoinsville, TN; Grandchildren: Nathan Crawford, Zackary Crawford, Danielle Crawford, Brandee Marshall, Joe Crowe, Robert Stegall, Marilyn Stegall and Emily Breeden. Many Nieces and Nephews.
Funeral Service will be held 2:00 P.M. Friday, March 5, 2004 at Barnes Funeral Home - 109 West Main Street - New Paris, Ohio, with Pastor Roger Wayne “Pete” Smith of Van Hill FWB Church, Hawkins County TN officiating. Interment will be held in Springlawn Cemetery, New Paris, Ohio. Family will receive friends Friday, March 5, 2004 from 12:00 to 2:00 P.M. at the funeral home.
