Dorothy P. Johnson

Dorothy P. (Collins) Johnson, age 93, of New Paris, Ohio died on Tuesday July 7, 2015 at Vancrest Health Care Center in Eaton, OH. She was born on March 2, 1922 in Jackson County, Kentucky, the daughter of the late, John M. & Minnie (Hughes) Collins. Dorothy was a self-employed seamstress for many years.

Preceded in death by her Sons: Dwight Johnson in 2001 & Ellis (Willie) Johnson in 2014; Granddaughter: Tammy Johnson in 2007.

Dorothy's family includes her, Children, Margie Carrier of Waynesville, Ohio, Carolyn (Ronnie) Turner of Berea, Kentucky, Jay (Dorothy) Johnson of New Paris, Ohio, Sue Gabbard of Richmond, Indiana, Marcella Ann Cail of Eaton, Ohio, Joe Johnson of New Paris, Ohio and Dale Johnson of New Paris, Ohio; 17 Grandchildren; numerous Great Grandchildren; several Great Great Grandchildren; Nieces & Nephews.

Family will receive friends on Friday, July 10, 2015 from 11:00 AM to 2:00 PM at Barnes Funeral Home 109 West Main Street New Paris, Ohio and a graveside service will be 2:15 PM at Spring Lawn Cemetery in New Paris, OH. Condolences may be sent at www.barnesfuneralhome.com
