Dorothy J. Mead

DOROTHY J. MEAD, age 82, formerly of Lewisburg, Ohio, died Sunday, January 21, 2007 at Piqua Manor Nursing Home in Piqua, Ohio. Born on September 30, 1924 in German Township, Montgomery Co., Ohio she was the daughter of the late Lurton & Charlotte (Gilbert) Mikesell. Dorothy retired in 1976 from Inland in Dayton after 25 years of service. She had lived in Lewisburg since 1949 and was a member of Shiloh Lutheran Church. In addition to her parents she is preceded in death by her husband: Ollie D. Mead, Sr. in 1986 and her brothers: William G. Mikesell in 1993 and Burnette E. Mikesell in 1999.

She is survived by her son: Ollie David Mead, Jr. of Richmond, Indiana and daughters: Saundra L. Bastian of Piqua, Ohio and Cherie Kidder of Troy, Ohio; Four Grandchildren: Michelle L. Mead, Jackie David Mead, Sarah Jane Kidder and Abigail Grace Kidder, One Great Grandson: Michael David Mead.

Funeral Service will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Thursday, January 25, 2007 at Barnes Funeral Home - 411 North Commerce Street - Lewisburg, Ohio with Pastor William C. Zimmann officiating. Interment will be held in Roselawn Cemetery in Lewisburg, Ohio. Family will receive friends on Wednesday, January 24, 2007 from 4:00 to 7:00 p.m. at Barnes Funeral Home-411 North Commerce St.-Lewisburg, Ohio 45338.
