Dorey Lynne Rhoades

Dorey Lynne (Unger) Rhoades, 53 of West Alexandria, OH, passed away peacefully surrounded by family after a long battle with cancer on Thursday, September 12, 2019.  Born on April 17, 1966 in Dayton, OH.  Dorey graduated in 1984 from Twin Valley North High School in Lewisburg, OH.  Dorey worked as a Group Leader in the Stock Room at McGregor’s in Brookville, OH for over 18 years.  She was a Super Grandmother and a fighter.  

Preceded by Sons-in-law, Kenneth D. “Kenny” Kesler in 2008 and Jeffrey Douglas Pence in 2012; Maternal Grandparents, William & Edith Biggs; Great Aunt, Thelma Weis; Paternal Grandparents, Minor & Lottie Unger; Brother, Ronald Unger, Jr.  

Survived by Husband of 25 years, Thomas Rhoades, Jr.; Children, Tommy Rhoades III, Christina (Rob) Smith, Ashlee (Steve) Sullivan, Candice (Justin) Nickell, Jeff (Brandi) Evans, Jr.; Grandchildren, Bridget, Levi, Brooklyn, Blake, Robbie, Ryann, Matthew, Chancelor, Christopher, Amberlyn, Braden, Jaxon, Logan, Jake, Zander, Allena, Zavier, and Destiny; Two Great Grandchildren; Mother, Carolyn Ann (Howard “J.R.”) Garner; Father, Ronald Lee (Stephanie) Unger; Sisters, Catherine “Bubba” Lawson and Stephanie Garner; numerous aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, great nieces, great nephews, cousins and friends.  

Celebration of Life will be held on Saturday, September 21, 2019 at the Lewisburg Trail Riders Sportsman Clubhouse, Knapke Lane, Lewisburg Ohio 45338 opened to the public from 2:00 pm to 10:00 pm.  Arrangements entrusted to Barnes Funeral Home, 411 N.
