Donald Ray Mason

DONALD RAY MASON, age 59, of New Paris, Ohio died Monday, July 7, 2003 at Methodist Hospital in Indianapolis, IN. Born on March 17, 1944 in Mt. Vernon, KY, he was the son of the late George M. & Lillian (Rader) Mason. He was raised by his grandparents Charlie & Eliza Rader after the death of his mother in 1946. He did general yard work in the area. Preceded in death by Brothers: Coleman, Earl, Lincoln, Andy & Bill Mason; Sisters: Sandra VanWinkle and Betty Jean Mason; Aunt: Christine Mays.

Survived by Step Mother: Gladys Mason, Orlando, KY; Brothers & Sisters-in-law: Bobbie & Norma Mason, Covington, KY, Frank Mason, Orlando, KY, Ernest Mason, Livingston, KY, Jimmy Lee Mason, Panama City, FL, George & Janice Mason, Ronnie Mason, David Mason and Paul & Kaye Mason, all of Orlando, KY; Sisters & Brothers-in-law: Dorothy & Charles Rader, Mary Ann & Henry VanZant and Karen & Terry Morgan, all of Orlando, KY; Aunts & Uncles: Viola Laswell, Greenwood, SC, Sally Eversole, St. Petersburg, FL, Bessie & Buddy Nail, Lyman, WY, Charles & Wanda Rader, Hamilton, OH, James & Barbara Rader, New Paris, OH; Nieces, Nephews, Cousins and a host of caring friends in New Paris.

Funeral Service will be held on Friday, July 11, 2003 - 11:00 A.M. at the Dowell - Martin Funeral Home - 365 West Main St. - Mt. Vernon, KY with Brother Olen McGuire and Brother Larry Burton officiating. Interment will be held in Briar Field Cemetery in Orlando, KY. Family will receive friends on Wednesday, July 9, 2003 from 5 - 8 P.M. (Ohio Time) at the Barnes Funeral Home - 109 West Main Street - New Paris, OH and Thursday, July 10, 2003 from 6 - 9 P.M. at the Dowell - Martin Funeral Home in Mt. Vernon. KY.
