Donald Lee Reed

Donald Lee Reed, 70, of Oxford, Ohio died on Monday, August 19, 2019 at his residence surrounded by his family.  Born on May 31, 1949 in Coolridge, Raleigh Co., West Virginia, son of the late William Carl & Mary Phyllis (Rorrer) Reed. Donald proudly served in the US Army from 1969 to 1971 in Germany and four years in the US Army Reserve in Eaton, Ohio. He retired in 2013 after 20 years with Miami University as a Senior Manager in Building Services.   

Preceded in death by his 1st Wife, Saundra Ann (Horigan) Reed in 1989; Brother, William Carl “Bucky” Reed, Jr. in 2002; Step Mother, Ethel (Rorrer) Reed in 1976. 

Survived by his Wife, Nora Reed; Daughters & Son-in-laws, Carrie Ann & Larry Wildey and Cassie Nevada & Kurt Brushwyler; Brothers & Sisters-in-law, Eddie Ray & Susan Reed and Jimmy & Kathy Hankins; Sister, Joyce Marie Slusser; Step Sister, Patsy Langley; Grandchildren; Kaitlyn and Alex Wildey. 

Memorial Service will be held at 11:00 A.M., Saturday, August 24, 2019 at Barnes Funeral Home, 109 West Main Street, New Paris, OH with Pastor Steve Whalen officiating.  Inurnment will be held in Spring Lawn Cemetery with Full Military Honors provided by the Preble County Honor Guard.  Family will receive friends from 10:00 A.M. to 11:00 A.M. at the funeral home prior to the service on Saturday.
