Clyde R. Hale, age 90, of Eaton, Ohio died Tuesday, July 10, 2007 in Eaton, OH. Born on July 26, 1916 in Middletown, OH he was the son of the late Claude & Stella (Eggelston) Hale. Clyde was a U.S. Army World War II veteran and a member of the American Legion Post 215 of Eaton, OH. He retired in 1972 from Armco Steel in Middletown and had farmed in Preble County. He was a devoted Christian man very active over the years in the First Church of God in Middletown, Camden and Eaton. He loved his family and country dearly. Preceded in death by wife: Betty E. Shellenbarger Hale in 2004; Sisters and brother-in-law.

Survived by son and daughter-in-law: Ronald E. & Diane Hale of Camden, OH; Grandchildren: David (Amy) Hale, Annette (Randy) Hall and James (Tamika) Hale; Great grandchildren: Adam (Mindy Gayhart) Hale, Elizabeth Hall, Michael Buchholz, Colby Hale; Jessie Sams, Amanda and Tony Jones; Great great grandson: Dillon Hale. Brother: Wayne (Barbara) Hale of Gratis, OH; Sisters-in-law: Wilma (Waldo) Stoner and Wanda Hall, many nieces and nephews.

Funeral service will be held at 10:30 am Saturday, July 14, 2007 at Barnes Funeral Home, 220 East Main Street, Eaton, Ohio 45320 with Rev. Jerry Reynolds officiating. Interment will be held in Mound Hill Union Cemetery in Eaton with the Preble County Honor Guard providing full military honors.

Family will receive friends on Friday, July 13, 2007 from 5 to 8 p.m. at the funeral home.
