Chuck Woodbury

Chuck Woodbury, age 75, of Eaton, Ohio, went to be with the Lord on Friday, August 26, 2011. Born on November 12, 1935 in Dayton, Ohio, son of the late Charles L. & Helen T. (Meyer) Woodbury, Sr. He graduated from Randolph High School and Missouri Valley College.

Chuck retired in 1999 as a Transportation Supervisor for Beavercreek City Schools & Eaton City Schools. He had worked for Preble County 169 Board, Preble County Chrysler Plymouth, Preble County Highway Department, and Morton & Woodbury Farm Draining & Excavating.

Chuck also was an Eagle Scout and District Scout Executive with Boy Scouts of America and helped develop Woodland Trails in Camden. Member of the Eaton Church of the Brethren and Gideon's International.

Preceded in death by his wife, Shirley Mae (Biser) Woodbury in 2011.

Survived by his daughters & sons-in-law, Sharon Brewster of Clarksville, TN, Ginger & Ron "Rudy" Roth of Eaton, OH, and Linda & Paul Walsh of Reynoldsburg, OH; sister & brother-in-law, Janet & Don Rabold of Florida; grandchildren & spouses, Joellen & Matt Root, Patrick "Patch" Brewster, David Good, Stacy & Keltavious "KJ" Jones; great grandchildren, Aiden, Addison, Treyvon, and Amiyah; numerous nieces, nephews, cousin and friends.

Celebration of Life Service will be held, 7:00 pm, Wednesday, August 31, 2011 at Eaton Church of the Brethren, 813 Camden Rd., Eaton, OH with Pastor Stan Van Ausdal and Rev. Martin Peacock officiating. Family & Friends Gathering will be held from 4:00 pm to 7:00 pm at the Church on Wednesday. Interment will be held at the convenience of the family at Preble Memory Gardens at a later date. Arrangements entrusted to Barnes Funeral Home, 220 E. Main St., Eaton, OH 45320.
