Charles E. Houser

CHARLES E. HOUSER, age 82, of Eaton, Ohio died Saturday, January 11, 2003 at Greenbriar Nursing Center in Eaton, Ohio. Born on April 19, 1920 in Eaton, Ohio, he was the son of the late Homer C. & Katherine (Gochenour) Houser. He was a World War II U.S. Army veteran from 1942 to 1945. He was a packer for Cinram in Richmond, Indiana and was a former carpet layer for Richmond Carpet and was a self employed carpet layer in the area for many years. He was a former Deputy Sheriff for Preble County under Floyd Spitler and John Stover. Member of Salem Church of God, Clayton, Ohio. Preceded in death by Half Brothers: Walter Coning, Clarence Coning, Everett Coning, Lawrence W. Coning, “Skip” Chelsey Coning and Harry C. Coning; Half Sisters: Edna Driver, Bessie I. Sears and an infant sister.

Survived by Wife of 56 years: Hazel V.(Turner)Houser; Nieces and Nephews.

Funeral service will be held on Thursday, January 16, 2003 - 1:00 P.M. at Barnes Funeral Home - 220 East Main St. - Eaton, Ohio with Rev. Lowell T. Spencer officiating. Interment will be held in Mound Hill Union Cemetery in Eaton, Ohio full military honors provided by the Preble County Honor Guard.
