Betty Hurley

Betty Hurley, 92, formerly of Brookville, Ohio died Monday October 20, 2014 at Genesis Health Care in New Lebanon, Ohio. Born on September 11, 1922 in Lewisburg, Ohio, she was the daughter of the late Edgar and Elizabeth May (Myers) Bennett. She graduated from Lewisburg Union High School, member of the V.F.W. Ladies Auxiliary and Trinity Lutheran Church both at Brookville, Ohio. She had worked at Stan Hope in Brookville, Ohio.

Preceded in death by her husband, William A. Hurley in 1987, sisters: Eva Bennett, Ruth Tankersley, Mary Harding and Gladys Bennett, brothers: William, Richard, Luther and Eugene Bennett.

Survived by daughters, Sue Willkie of Tuscaloosa, Alabama and Bonnie Barnhiser of West Alexandria, Ohio. Son, John Hurley of New Lebanon, Ohio. Sisters, Nina Hahn of Dayton, Ohio and Jeanette Wright of Lewisburg, Ohio. Four grandchildren and eleven great grandchildren. Nieces and nephews.

A graveside service will be held at 1:00 p.m., Friday October 24, 2014 at Royal Oak Memorial Gardens at Brookville, Ohio with Rev Dave Justis officiating.
