BARBARA J. RADER, age 69 of New Paris, Ohio died Monday, July 30, 2012 at Reid Hospital in Richmond, IN. Born on September 21, 1942 in Rockcastle County, KY she was the daughter of the late Luther & Hazel (Jennings) Vanzant. Barbara was a 1960 graduate of Livingston High School in Livingston, KY and she was a self- employed homemaker. Preceded in death by two sisters: Pauline Baker in 2006 and Judy Brock in 2010.

Survived by Husband of 52 years: James H. Rader; Son & Daughter-In-Law: Edward & Sharon Rader of New Paris, OH; Grandson: Joshua J. (Kristin D.) Rader of Richmond, IN; Great Grandchildren: James Dylan & Ella Madison; Grandchildren: Missy & Jason Pennington and Great Grandchildren: Elijah, Asher & Noah; and Grandchildren: Megan & Robert Miller and Great Grandchild: Emma; Sister: Geraldine Whiticker of Georgetown, KY and Brother: Martin (Marjory) Vanzant of Mt. Vernon, KY.

New Paris, OH visitation will be held from 5:00 to 8:00 PM Thursday, August 2, 2012 at Barnes Funeral Home – 109 West Main Street – New Paris, OH.

Mt. Vernon, KY visitation will be held from 5:00 to 8:00 PM Friday, August 3, 2012 at Dowell-Martin Funeral Home – 365 West Main Street – Mt. Vernon, KY. Funeral service will be 10:00 AM on Saturday, August 4, 2012 at Dowell-Martin. Interment will be in Johnetta Cemetery in Rockcastle County, KY.
