Audrey K. Overton

Audrey K. Overton, 68 of West Alexandria, OH, died Wednesday, January 22, 2014 at Brookhaven Nursing and Rehabilitation in Brookville, OH. Born on February 6, 1945 in San Bernardino, CA, she was the daughter of the late Robert & Eleanor (Shown) Barber. Audrey was a retired Diet Tech for Greenbriar Nursing Center in Eaton. Audrey received her Associates Degree from Sinclair Community College, Bachelor's Degree from Douglas College and Graduate Study at Rutgers University. She was a member of the New Jersey ½ Arabian Horse Assoc., National EGG Art Guild, Garden State Poultry Fanciers, Dayton Fancy Feather Club, Life Member #18 American Poultry Assoc., American Bantam Assoc., Kommondor Club of America, Fort St. Clair Kennel Club, Director of training and hospitality chair for FSCKC show, Eaton Church of the Brethren, Gideons Auxiliary International, Treasurer for Christian Education Committee, President of Living Faith Choir, President of Women's Aid, Treasurer of Pathfinders Sunday School Class and Co-Leader of Senior Bible Study for 10 years.

Survivors include Husband of 20 years: Gary R. Overton; Sister: Nina Franco, Niantic, CT, a Niece and Nephew and a host of friends.

Family will receive friends on Monday, January 27, 2014 from 1:00 – 3:00 P.M. at the Eaton Church of the Brethren, 813 Camden Rd, Eaton, OH 45320. A Celebration of Audrey's life will be held at 3:00 P.M. at the church with Rev. Martin Peacock officiating. Following the service, a concert will be performed by classical pianist Harold Brown and Lyric Soprano Rhonda Brown.

A Funeral Procession will form between 10:00 – 10:30 A.M. on Tuesday, January 28, 2014 at Barnes Funeral Home, 220 East Main Street, Eaton, OH 45320 followed by a Graveside service at 11:00 A.M. in Fairview Cemetery, West Alexandria, OH with Rev. Stan Van Ausdal officiating.
