Archie Linton Elmore, 69 years old, survived by his wife of almost 50 years, Deborah Doris (Isaacs) Elmore, three daughters; nine grandchildren, and one great grandchild. He is also survived by his sisters, Beverly Lynn Woosley, and Barbara Diane Elmore and a brother, James Robert Elmore. Archie’s parents, James Edgar and AnnaLee (Claywell) Elmore and his brothers, Stevie Wayne and Gary Keith have been waiting for Archie for many years to cross that great divide.

Archie’s oldest daughter, Jeanine Rae Yellman and her husband Patrick reside in Erlanger, Kentucky. Their son, Benjamin Joseph Yellman (24) lives in Highland Heights, Kentucky. Shanna Gae Via lives in Englewood Ohio with her husband, Galen Wade and their four children: Micah Ryann (18), Caleb Wade (16), Seth Isaac (13), and Luke Joseph (11). Nedra Shea Whitworth currently stays in Clayton, Ohio with Bruce Whitworth and two of their four children, Keith Lyntonn Walters (25) and Nathaniel Lane Walters (22). Their daughter, Emily Katherine (31) and her husband Mark Elliott Combs are raising their son, Elliott Spencer in McKee, Kentucky. Their son, Robert Eli Whitworth and his wife Courtney Anna (Sargent) are currently stationed in Camp Pendleton, California.

Archie attended many schools in his early years, starting with 1st grade at Cave Springs in 1956. He attended the Seminary School for his 2nd-8th grade years (1957-1964). To start his high school years, he attendedBurkesville High School for two years and transferred to Clinton County High School his junior year. After graduating in 1968, he traveled to Washington D.C. to take a job with the FBI. After only 13 short months, he met the woman who would become his wife, and together they moved to West Alexandria, Ohio, where they raised their three daughters.

Archie retired from Ameritech (formerly known as, AT&T, Southwestern Bell, Ohio Bell) in 2009. He loved his job as a phone station repairman and worked tirelessly to absorb all he could to move forward within the company.

Archie was a member of many teams and clubs throughout his life, The Hecklers Club, bowling teams, and several Bible studies. He enjoyed gardening, Studying the past and watching his many grandchildren. Archie never knew a stranger and was a mentor for countless youths as they found themselves in need of a meal, a shoulder, or a piece of life advice.

Archie was a member of First Baptist Church of West Alexandria, Ohio, where he served as a deacon and Sunday School teacher for many years.

The viewing is scheduled for Saturday June 22, beginning at 5 PM. The viewing will be open for all, and you may stay as long as you like. The funeral will be held on Sunday, June 23 at 1:00 PM followed immediately by the graveside service at Story. The family wishes to invite you to join them at at the home place shortly after the service for a potluck.Weldon Haddix Funeral Home in Albany, Kentucky will be handling the services. 500 N. A Memorial Service will be held locally at 6:30 P.M. on Tuesday, June 25, 2019 at the First Brethren Church, 28 East Third Street, West Alexandria, Ohio. Family will receive friends from 5:00 P.M. until the time of the service. Local arrangements entrusted to Barnes Funeral Home, Lewisburg, Ohio.
