John X. Neiser, Jr. 85 of Dayton, Ohio, passed away on Friday, November 6, 2026, at the Dayton V.A. Medical Center.

John was born on July 16, 1941, in Hamilton, Ohio, the son of the late John X. (Sr) & Alma G. (Geisler) Neiser. He was a 1959 Eaton High School graduate. A U.S. Air Force veteran, he served 12 years in the Air Force and was a Vietnam War Veteran. In 2003 he retired from NTB Trucking in Troy, Ohio. Life member of the American Legion Post 613 in Trotwood, TWS – Together We Serve International Group and the Civil War Preservation Trust.

Preceded in death by his sister: Jean Fudge in 2014 and brother: Carl W. Beyer in 2022.

John is survived by his son: Jon T. Neiser of Memphis, Tenn. daughters: Jana L. Poindexter of Collinsville, IL and Julie T. Jordan of Rockledge, FL. 4 Grandchildren: Brian Slaughter, Janna Romanishyn, Shawn Poindexter and Finn Neiser. 2 Great Grandchildren.

Family will receive friends from 1:00 to 3:00 P.M. on Wednesday, November 11, 2026, at Barnes Funeral Home – 220 East Main Street – Eaton, Ohio. A graveside service and interment will be held at Dayton National Cemetery in Dayton, Ohio.
