Zelma Booher

Zelma Booher, 86 of Eaton, OH died Tuesday, November 10, 2015 at her residence. Born on August 19, 1929 in Jackson County Kentucky she was the daughter of the late Alson & Vinie (Spivey) Abner. Zelma had worked at McCall's in Dayton and Dayton Flexible in Eaton. She was a life long farmer with her husband in Jackson Township and a member of Concord United Church of Christ in Eaton. She was preceded in death by her husband of 62 years: James Herbert "Herb" Booher in 2009; grandson: David Allen Booher in 1969; sister: Lucille Teeters.

Survived by her children: David L. & Nellie Booher of Arcanum, OH; Gary S. & Janet Booher of Eaton, OH; Ernie W. Booher & Partner Betty Williams of Greenfield, IN; Judie L. & Ron Mann of Newnan, GA and Connie J. & Tony Hurst of Eaton, OH. 8 grandchildren, 16 great grandchildren, 8 great great grandchild and numerous step grandchildren, great grandchildren and great great grandchildren. Several Nieces and Nephews; Her constant companion, a black lab mix, named Pepper.

Family will receive friends from 5:00 to 7:00 PM Thursday, November 12, 2015 at Barnes Funeral Home 220 East Main Street Eaton, OH and one hour prior to the funeral service at the church with the service to be held 11:00 AM Friday, November 13, 2015 at Concord United Church of Christ 2225 Concord Fairhaven Road Eaton, OH with Rev. James Sizelove, Rev. Mearl Hodges & Pastor Jim Webb officiating. Interment will be held in Mound Hill Cemetery in Eaton, OH.
